Sermon: Creating a Safe and Peaceful Nation [22nd Anniversary of KSB]

First Sermon

may Allah bless him and give him peace and blessings وَالأَمَانِ ، وَرَزَقَنَا بِالإِسْلاَمِ وَالسَّلاَمِ ، وَأَلْهَمَنَا بِالْهُدَى وَالْفُرْقَانِ . God willing, God willing, God willing, God willing لَهُ ، وَنَشْهَدُ أَنَّ مُحَمَّدًا عَبْدُ اللهِ وَرَسُولُهُ لاَ نَبِيَّ بَعْدَه. فَصَلَوَاتُ الله وَسَلاَمُهُ عَلَيه ، وَعَلَى آلِهِ God willing God وَعَلَى الصَّحَابَةِ والتَّابِعِين، وَمَنْ تَبِعَهُمْ بِإِحْسَان إِلَى يَوْمِ الدِّينِ. God

يَا أَيُّهَا ٱالَّذِينَ آمَنُوا ٱتَّقُوا ٱللَّهَ حَقَّ God willing

Friday prayer congregation who are blessed by Allah...

In this life, every individual, community group, or even nation certainly hopes to achieve progress and prosperity, and longs for a safe and peaceful nation. Therefore, various efforts are undertaken to realize these hopes and aspirations. Likewise, we, as the people of West Sumbawa Regency, who have just celebrated the Regency's Anniversary. Pariri Lema Bariri  the 22nd year.

Of course, all of this is an expression of gratitude for the grace of God Almighty, for the most beautiful gift, a small piece of land called West Sumbawa. A place of birth, a place to grow, develop, and serve together, fighting for hopes and aspirations, for the benefit of all citizens. Serving in all aspects and professions inherent in me.

That feeling of gratitude then spilled out in warmth friendship, All elements of society from various ethnicities and tribes. Uniting as one, within the framework of the people of West Sumbawa. Fighting together and serving with unwavering dedication, for the benefit of all and for the benefit of all.

Without having to view differences, respond to them with tolerance and mutual respect. This is West Sumbawa, a small, safe country where the people live in peace. May Allah SWT grant forgiveness, so that it becomes a peaceful and prosperous country. baldatun toyyibatun warobbun ghofur.

How can we foster a sense of security within society? And how can we create a secure nation? Allah and His Messenger have given us several clear prescriptions for realizing a secure nation.

First; Have faith in Allah and do not associate anything with Him

Allah SWT says in Surah Al-An'am verse 82:

God willing, God willing, God willing, God willing God bless you

“"Those who believe and do not mix their faith with injustice (shirk), they are the ones who receive security and they are the ones who receive guidance."”

In another verse, precisely in surah Al A'raaf verse 96, Allah SWT also says:

وَلَوْ اَنَّ اَهْلَ الْقُرٰٓى اٰمَنُوْا وَاتَّقَوْا لَفَتَحْنَا عَلَيْهِمْ بَرَكٰتٍ مِّنَ السَّمَاۤءِ وَالْاَرْضِ وَلٰكِنْ كَذَّبُوْا فَاَخَذْنٰهُمْ بِمَا كَانُوَْ

If the people of the lands had faith and piety, We would have opened up to them various blessings from the heavens and the earth. However, they denied (the messengers and Our verses). So, We tortured them because of what they always did.

True faith will form a pious person who is obedient and obedient to Allah, and piety will invite Allah's care and protection for His servants. Rasulullah saw said in an authentic hadith narrated by Imam Tirmidhi,

may Allah bless him and give him peace and blessings

“Be mindful of Allah (meaning fulfilling His obligations and avoiding His prohibitions), and Allah will be mindful of you. Be mindful of Allah, and He will be before you (helping and protecting you).” [HR. Tirmidhi]

Second; Enjoining good and forbidding evil

The important thing to create a sense of security is existence enjoining good and forbidding evil. Because humans are not angels who are always obedient and docile, the potential for being reluctant to do good and wanting to commit offenses will always be there.

In a hadith narrated by Bukhari, the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) likened this situation to a group of people boarding a ship, some of whom were on the upper deck and others on the lower deck. Then, some of the passengers on the lower deck wanted to make a hole in the ship for some reason. The Prophet said,

فَإِنْ يَتْرُكُوهُمْ وَمَا أَرَادُوا هَلَكُوا جَمِيعًا، وَإِنْ أَخَذُوا عَلَى أَيْدِيهِمْ نَجَوْا، وَنَجَوْا جَمِيعًا

“"If they let what they want, they will all perish. If they take action to prevent it, then those below and those above will all be safe."” [Narrated by Bukhari]

In the hadith narrated by Bukhari, Rasulullah saw said,

انْصُرْ أخَاكَ ظَالِماً or

"Help your brother whether he has done wrong or been wronged.”

So one friend asked,

يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ، أَنْصُرُهُ إِذَا كَانَ مَظْلُومًا Allah's blessings

“"O Messenger of Allah, I will help him if he is wronged, what if he does wrong, how will I help him?"”

Then the Prophet Muhammad SAW replied,

God willing

“"You prevent him from injustice, then that means you are helping him."” (Narrated by Bukhari)

Therefore, we are truly happy if there are people who do this. enjoining good and forbidding evil, in fact, we should have a maximum role and contribution in this matter according to our respective capacities and according to the methods we are able to.

The congregation of Friday prayers who are blessed by Allah taala.

Factor third What can create security and peace in society is the enforcement of justice for all groups without discrimination.

It is axiomatic and easy for anyone to understand that if justice is upheld for all levels and groups, especially by leaders and authorities in a country, then security will soon be realized.

Once, as narrated by Imam Bukhari and Imam Muslim, there was a woman from the Makhzumiah tribe who stole. The Makhzumiah tribe was a prominent tribe among the Arab nation at that time. People from that tribe wanted to persuade Rasulullah SAW not to pass the law on the woman. When he found out about this, he said in an angry tone;

يَا أَيُّهَا النَّاسُ، إِنَّمَا هَلَكَ الَّذِينَ مِنْ قَبْلِكُمْ أَنَّهُمْ كَانُوا إِذَا سَرَقَ فِيهِمْ الشَّرِيفُ تَرَكُوهُ، وَإِذَا سَرَقَ فِيهِمْ الضَّعِيفُ أَقَامُوا عَلَيْهِ الْحَدَّ

“"O people, indeed, the destruction of the people before you was because if the person stealing was a noble person among them, they let that person go. But if the thief was a weak person, they imposed punishment on him."”

Then the Messenger of Allah stated a great expression,

God bless you سَرَقَتْ، لَقَطَعْتُ يَدَهَا

“"By Allah, if Fatimah bint Muhammad steals, I will cut off her hands."”

May Allah grant us strong faith and security within ourselves and in our region, which recently celebrated the 22nd anniversary of West Sumbawa Regency. May it become a developed and extraordinary Regency, in line with the slogans and slogans championed by the Regional Government and all levels of society. Likewise, may our country and all Islamic countries be protected from disaster and those who seek to spread destruction on earth.  Amîn ya Robbal '‘âlamîîn.

الْحَمْدُ لِلهِ الَّذِيْ بِنِعْمَتِهِ تَتِمُِ وَبِفَضْلِهِ تَتَنَزَّلُ الْخَيْرَاتُ وَالْبَرَكَاتُ، وَبِتَوْفِيْقِهِ تَتَحَقَّقُ الْمَقَاصِدُ وَالْغَايَاتُ.

God willing لَهُ وَأَشْهَدُ أَنْ مُحَمَّدًا عَبْدُهُ وَرَسُوْلُهُ لَانَبِيَّ بَعْدَهُ. God willing, God willing, God willing, God willing, God willing وَعَلَى آلِهِ وَصَحْبِهِ المُجَاهِدِيْنَ الطَّاهِرِيْنَ. أَمَّا بَعْدُ،

فَيَا آيُّهَا الحَاضِرُوْنَ أُوْصِيْكُمْ وَإِيَّايَ God willing. يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا اتَّقُوا اللَّهَ حَقَّ God willing وَتَزَوَّدُوا فَإِنَّ خَيْرَ الزَّادِ التَّقْوَى.

 أعوذ بالله من الشيطان الرجيم. God willing.
