The Muslim congregation of Friday prayers, may Allah have mercy on them.

Let us always be grateful to Allah SWT. for all the abundance of His mercy and taufiq. As we say salawat and greetings to our Prophet Muhammad SAW. We, thank God because we are still steadfastness in piety.

Then, we are grateful to be given health and strength, so that we as Muslims who are still alive, can gather together in order to do what Allah SWT commands in the Al-Qur'an surah Al-Jum'ah verse, 9 which reads:

ŁŠŁŽŲ§ Ų£ŁŽŁŠŁŁ‘Ł‡ŁŽŲ§ Ų§Ł„ŁŽŁ‘Ų°ŁŁŠŁ†ŁŽ Ų¢Ł…ŁŽŁ†ŁŁˆŲ§ Ų„ŁŲ°ŁŽŲ§ Ł†ŁŁˆŲÆŁŁŠŁŽ Ł„ŁŁ„ŲµŁŽŁ‘Ł„ŁŽŲ§Ų©Ł Ł…ŁŁ†Ł’ God bless you God bless you

O you who believe, when you have been called upon to perform prayers on Friday, then immediately remember Allah, and leave buying and selling, this is better if you know. (QS. Al-Jum'ah, verse 9)

The order to carry out Friday prayers comes directly from Allah SWT, and is enshrined in the Koran. Don't let this glorious day be wasted on its glory and primacy. Don't let us be busy with work and business on Friday, then we forget to prepare ourselves to go to the mosque. 

Friday, is Saiyyidul Ayyam (a very noble day). A Muslim who steps into the mosque to perform Friday prayers, the angels record it as a reward for each step, equivalent to the reward of worship. one year of prayer and fasting.

Rasulullah Saw reminded in a hadith:

"Whoever takes a bath on Friday, then rushes to the mosque and sits in the front row and remains silent, then for every step he takes, he will receive the reward of fasting and praying for a year, and that is easy for Allah." (HR. Ahmad).

Then Rasulullah SAW said:

"Please pray more to me every Friday. Because the blessings of my people will be shown to me every Friday. Whoever prays to me a lot, he will be the closest to me on the Day of Judgment." (Narrated by Baihaqi)

Then, from Abu Hurairah, Rasulullah Saw said:

Ł…ŁŽŁ†Ł’ ŲµŁŽŁ„ŁŽŁ‘Ł‰ Ų¹ŁŽŁ„ŁŽŁ‰ŁŽŁ‘ ŁˆŁŽŲ§Ų­ŁŲÆŁŽŲ©Ł‹ ŲµŁŽŁ„ŁŽŁ‘Ł‰ Ų§Ł„Ł„ŁŽŁ‘Ł‡Ł Ų¹ŁŽŁ„ŁŽŁŠŁ’Ł‡Ł Ų¹ŁŽŲ“Ł’Ų±Ł‹Ų§

"Whoever prays to me once, Allah will pray to him ten times." (HR. Muslim No. 408)

Such are the virtues and virtues of Friday. May we be among those who receive its blessings. Amen, O Lord of the Worlds.

Starting this short sermon, the preacher testamentary to all of us, especially to the preacher himself, to always try to improve piety and faith We are to Allah SWT, the only God we must worship, who is different from anything and anyone else.

This Friday, we've already reached the middle of the month of Rajab. Specifically, on Rajab 13, 1447 AH. Furthermore, in this month of Rajab, we are destined to experience the change of the Gregorian year, from 2025 to 2026.

A great momentum, that we have entered the new year of the Christian era, 2026. Without realizing it, we are already in the new year of the Christian era, 2026. Without realizing it, our age is decreasing. Without realizing how quickly time passes. So quickly time turns.

Meanwhile, we are still complacent with the world. We are still lulled by busyness that distracts us from Allah SWT. We are still busy taking care of work that does not bring goodness and good deeds. And we are busy, busy and busy, so we forget to save our rewards.

Allah SWT said:

ŁˆŁŽŲŖŁŁ„Ł’ŁƒŁŽ Ų§Ł„Ł’Ų§ŁŽŁŠŁŽŁ‘Ų§Ł…Ł Ł†ŁŲÆŁŽŲ§ŁˆŁŁ„ŁŁ‡ŁŽŲ§ ŲØŁŽŁŠŁ’Ł†ŁŽ Ų§Ł„Ł†ŁŽŁ‘Ų§Ų³ŁŪš God bless you Ł…ŁŁ†Ł’ŁƒŁŁ…Ł’ Ų“ŁŁ‡ŁŽŲÆŁŽŲ§Ū¤Ų”ŁŽŪ— ŁˆŁŽŲ§Ł„Ł„Ł‘Ł°Ł‡Ł Ł„ŁŽŲ§ ŁŠŁŲ­ŁŲØŁŁ‘ Ų§Ł„ŲøŁ‘Ł°Ł„ŁŁ…ŁŁŠŁ’Ł†ŁŽŪ™

ā€œ"And at that time, We circulated among humans (so that they could learn a lesson) and Allah recognized the (true) believers and He made some of you (fallen as) martyrs. And Allah does not like the wrongdoers"ā€ (QS. Al-'Imran, Verse 140)

The momentum of the month of Rajab, as well as the reflection on the new year of the Christian era 2026, must be a trigger and a sign of increasing faith and piety We are to Allah SWT. In the month of Rajab in 2026, each of us must have the intention and determination to be better than the previous month and year.

Perhaps in previous months, or even years, we were lazy about worship, we were lazy about doing good deeds, we were busy with worldly affairs and work. However, during the month of Rajab and this new year, we should maximize our savings of good deeds. We should reap rewards and good deeds.

Because we never know whether Allah SWT will still grant us the blessing of life. We never know when death will come to us. And we never know whether we will still be alive in the month of Sha'ban or the month of Ramadan, which will soon be upon us.

Therefore, the prayer of the Prophet Muhammad SAW in the month of Rajab is:

God willing ŁˆŁŽŲØŁŽŁ„ŁŁ‘ŲŗŁ’Ł†ŁŽŲ§ Ų±ŁŽŁ…ŁŽŲ¶ŁŽŲ§Ł†ŁŽ

ā€œ"O Allah, O Allah. Grant us blessings in the months of Rajab and Sha'bĆ¢n, and grant us life in the month of Ramadan."ā€

The Muslim congregation of Friday prayers, may Allah have mercy on them.

The month of Rajab is one of four al-Asyhur al-Hurum, our months forbidden, holy and noble months, namely Dzulqa'dah, Dzulhijjah, Muharram And Rajab.

Allah SWT said:

God willing ŁŁŁŠ ŁƒŁŲŖŁŽŁ°ŲØŁ Ł±Ł„Ł„ŁŽŁ‘Ł‡Ł ŁŠŁŽŁˆŪ”Ł…ŁŽ Ų®ŁŽŁ„ŁŽŁ‚ŁŽ Ł±Ł„Ų³ŁŽŁ‘Ł…ŁŽŁ°ŁˆŁŽŁ°ŲŖŁ ŁˆŁŽŁ±Ł„Ū”Ų£ŁŽŲ±Ū”Ų¶ŁŽ Ł…ŁŁ†Ū”Ł‡ŁŽŲ¢ Ų£ŁŽŲ±Ū”ŲØŁŽŲ¹ŁŽŲ©ŁŒ Ų­ŁŲ±ŁŁ…Łž

The meaning: "Indeed, the number of months according to Allah is twelve months in Allah's decree, when He created the heavens and the earth, of which four months are haram"ā€œ (QS. At-Taubah: verse 36).

Allah calls these 4 (four) months the forbidden months. Because in the beginning war in it is forbidden.

Why on the moon forbidden Why is war forbidden in the sacred month of Rajab? Because those who commit injustice in Rajab will be punished with a great sin. Conversely, those who do good deeds, such as charity, voluntary fasting, and acts of obedience, will be rewarded with great rewards.

Among the virtues of the month of Rajab, the first night of Rajab is one of the efficacious nights for prayer, as confirmed by Imam Syafi'i in the book al-Umm:

ā€œWe have heard that it was said: Prayers are answered on five nights: Friday night, the night of Eid al-Adha, the night of Eid al-Fitr, the first night of Rajab, and the night of Nisfu Sha'ban.ā€

Therefore, the momentum of the month of Rajab and this new year, let us once again self-reflection and reflect on ourselves. How much good have we done? And how many sins and disobedience have we committed? Perhaps our sins and disobedience outweigh our good deeds and righteous deeds. God forbid

Let's set straight intentions, let's set a strong determination, may Allah SWT give us the strength to do good and pious deeds in this month of Rajab. And we ask Allah SWT to give us consistency in carrying out His commands and avoiding His prohibitions.
