Vacationing at a tourist destination in Indonesia is a highly anticipated activity for everyone, especially if it's with their beloved family. It's not uncommon for destination hunters to plan vacations with their families, especially after a busy schedule. These include weekends, school holidays, year-end breaks, New Year's, or the post-fasting holiday known as Eid al-Fitr. When it comes to travel or vacations, comfort and safety are crucial. Every traveler planning a vacation to a destination will prioritize these two factors, even if they're willing to pay a premium for them. Therefore, providers of services, such as tour and travel packages, must recognize these two factors as opportunities to further pamper their travelers.
As a predominantly Muslim country in Asia and the world, Indonesia should be a pioneer in safe and comfortable tourism for both domestic and international travelers. This will not only be a reputation for the country but also a positive icon for investment in the tourism industry. One such trend is currently being widely promoted, specifically Halal Tourism, pioneered by PT. Cheria Tours and Travel, which supports halal tour packages.
In 2016, in the province of West Nusa Tenggara where I live, the governor of NTB (West Nusa Tenggara) aggressively promoted a halal tourism program for travelers to the island of Lombok. This effort paid off, as the Governor of West Nusa Tenggara received the World's Best Halal Beach Resort award: Novotel Lombok Resort & Villas in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. At first glance, I wondered what halal tourism was? Was this halal tourism merely a symbol for the island of Lombok, famous for its icon of 1,000 mosques? After digging up various information about halal tourism and watching the Governor's explanation during an interview on a private TV station, I finally understood the concept of halal tourism. When the Governor of NTB was asked to explain the halal tourism icon promoted in NTB, the Governor said;
"Because in reality, tourists who come on vacation are not only from abroad but also from within the country, not only non-Muslims but some of them are also Muslim, so they require good service in terms of hotels, accommodation, food, clothing, places of worship and most importantly, a sense of comfort and safety for these tourists." The answer given by the Governor of NTB shows the governor's seriousness in carrying out and promoting the halal tourism icon on the island of Lombok. And it is a positive breakthrough and a form of the highest appreciation for tourists who want to visit various tourist destinations on the island of 1000 mosques.
The NTB Governor's priorities align with PT. Cheria Tours and Travel's tour packages, which promote halal tourism. As far as I know, PT. Cheria Travel is a travel agency that provides the best Muslim-friendly tour packages both domestically and internationally. According to my friend Lery, who has traveled to several tourist destinations in Indonesia, she described her experience with Cheria Travel as impressive and satisfied with the service provided by PT. Cheria Tours and Travel.Ā Ā

Lery also explained that PT. Cheria Tours and Travel is the best company in Jakarta in providing services and comfort for worship and travel. With the Muslim tour packages offered by Cheria Travel, Muslim tourists do not need to worry about religious activities while at tourist attractions. The thing that is very important is the issue of halal food, drinks, and places visited. Everything is guaranteed to be blessed in worship. Lery again reminded that PT. Cheria Wisata is a company engaged in the service sector and has a Consortium license with legal permits from the Indonesian Ministry of Religious Affairs. "Basically, you will not regret with Cheria Wisata because all excellent service from start to finish," Lery confidently concluded his explanation.
Hopefully, one day my family and I will have the opportunity to participate in the Cheria Halal Holiday Tour, as my friend Lery described. If I were given the chance, I would choose to visit South Korea.
