Remembering the Tragedy and Tyranny of Rohingya Muslims

I've long intended to transcribe this story and share my feelings with readers. However, I've been delayed. The reason is simple yet heartbreaking: I personally couldn't bear to reread the tragedy that befell my Muslim brothers and sisters in Myanmar in 2017, and perhaps that suffering is still felt today, in 2020. What they suffered is my suffering, the suffering of my readers, and the suffering of all of us Muslims. Finally, I gathered the courage to reread this heartbreaking story.

After reading numerous protests on social media about the cruelty and barbarity of these immoral people, I was moved to condemn and curse the perpetrators of the despicable massacre of Rohingya Muslims on my personal blog. I hope this post will express my disgust and revulsion at the behavior of these "humans" with the heads of animals. Humans with the hearts of demons. Who else but the Myanmar government officials, the female politician Aung San Suu Kyi, the monks, and all the officials involved in the massacre of Muslims.

Before writing at length about their cruelty, I'd like to ask my readers: If you are married and God has entrusted you with a tiny baby, only 2 or 3 years old, then the baby is harassed by a dog. The dog suddenly chases the child, wanting to snatch the snack from the child.

The question is, how would you react as a parent when you saw what the dog did to your child? I'm sure you would chase the dog, wanting to beat it with a piece of wood, or perhaps throw a rock at it. And I'm sure, if someone else had witnessed the incident, they would also have chased the dog and thrown it, because their human heart doesn't want their child to be bothered by such an unclean animal.

To better understand the analogy of the tiny baby and the dog above, I invite the reader's reason and heart to carefully reflect on the tragic massacre of Muslims, which would move even animals without reason to tears upon witnessing such tyranny. Let alone humans, even animals without reason would be enraged by human behavior that borrows animal behavior, and they would take pride in such depraved behavior.

Around the end of August 2017 after holding morning congregational prayers at the Unida Gontor campus mosque. I walked back to the dormitory which was approximately 400 meters away. After arriving at the dormitory, I casually grabbed my cellphone just to see information on social media. Accidentally, on my Facebook account, I caught a glimpse of a video that was approximately 1 minute long. In the video, you can see a woman who has her hands tied behind her back by two men in camouflage clothes (soldiers), the woman is left slumped on the ground with her clothes almost falling off her body.

She was seen groaning in pain, begging for mercy from the group of men in camouflage. Her cries of pity broke out. However, the men in camouflage stared at her with demonic expressions. There was no trace of compassion on the faces of the cruel men in camouflage uniforms. Upon further investigation, it turned out they were torturing the woman mercilessly.

I couldn't bear to continue watching the brutal video, as human instinct inevitably rejects any action attributed to animals. What I briefly saw in the video was the actions of an animal, not a human. I took a deep breath. I took a few deep breaths. Unable to bear the video, I tried to push through it.

My eyes wandered imagining the continuation of this barbaric human's behavior as he continued to walk.ask for forgiveness in the heart. His eyes were red, teary with anger and swearing. Even though it felt hard to continue with this cruel act, his heartbeat began to become irregular, his fingers trembled violently. But in the end, I continued to watch the cruel scene in the video while holding back a groan and clenching my fists.

Unexpectedly, beyond the bounds of human decency, the behavior of the two striped soldiers towards the woman became even more unreasonable. The woman's legs, whose hands were tied, were slashed with a machete. The woman's legs were not immediately severed, but were torn to shreds, and her bones were still visible.Astagfirullah.

The woman whimpered helplessly. What a barbarian! Not satisfied with that, one of the camouflaged men took another machete and cut off her hands, which were tied behind her back. Although the woman was still alive, she groaned even more in pain, struggling as hard as she could, screaming in agony, until no sound could be heard from her throat or mouth. God forbid,

It didn't end there, a moment later, the two cruel men in camouflage uniforms continued their animal behavior by pulling the woman's head while placing a machete on the helpless woman's neck. That's the end of the barbarity. And Innalilahi wainna Ilaihi raajiunThe woman finally succumbed to her injuries. The man in the camouflage uniform mercilessly ended her life with her hands still tightly bound.Ā

I don't want to go into detail about how the vile man ended the helpless woman's life. Readers can certainly imagine what he would do once a machete was held to her neck. Let us pray After I observed the title of the video I read;

"This is what the Myanmar authorities are doing to Rohingya Muslims." My heart suddenly pounded, my fists clenched, my eyes grew red, and my head suddenly felt hot. My lips trembled violently. Was the behavior of humans created with reason and a heart so barbaric? Was the behavior of humans devoid of conscience and compassion for other humans so cruel?

The next tragedy, if the reader has a data package or suddenly gets free wifi from an internet cafe, then you can easily... login go to Facebook or open YouTube and type in Google "Rohingya tragedy" You will easily find videos of how the lackey monks treat Muslims in sadistic ways, torturing, burning, tying up, and abusing small children and their helpless mothers. The most heartbreaking and eye-watering scene is when a tiny baby, about 2.5 years old, is tied around the neck with a rope, then pulled by the lackey monks.Ā

Continuing, another tragedy that will torment your feelings is the appearance of a small child, approximately two years old, waking up his dead mother. I saw the tiny child crying while hugging and moving his mother's lifeless body. The innocent child probably didn't know what was really happening. However, as he cried and hugged his lifeless mother, his heart and senses struggled, screaming for help from the people running around him.

If readers want to feel the suffering of those innocent children screaming and crying while waking their dead mothers, try imagining yourself as the father, mother, older sibling, or relative of that tiny child. Then you will feel the heartache and pain of being a parent, father, mother, or sibling. This is truly an immoral human tragedy, worthy of being called the devil's act, la'natullah.

This is also described in the Qur'an about how Allah created humans with hearts but their hearts were not used to understand Allah's verses, they have eyes but they are not used to see the signs of Allah's power, they are like livestock, they are even more misguided (Qs Al-A'raf: 179).

And in Surah Al-Furqan verses 43-44 it is also explained how "They make their desires their god, they are nothing but like livestock, and they are more astray in their ways (than livestock)." Furthermore, Allah stated "Indeed, the worst animals (creatures) in the sight of Allah are the disbelievers, because they do not believe" (Qs. Al-Anfal: 55).

Perhaps there is a precise term put forward by Plautus in 945 which was adopted from Greek philosophy "homo homini lupus" [Man is a wolf for others]. Their hearts are so dark and their minds so dull. Allah has locked their brains and souls. And they will get a more painful reply later on the Day of Judgment. The day when the cruel men in camouflage shirts were left groaning in eternal pain and suffering.

I can no longer bear to write or read true stories more gruesome than any extreme film. May Allah always grant strength to our Rohingya brothers and sisters. And grant them strength and patience to endure whatever befalls them, wherever they may be. In the corners of countries that oppress Muslims. In the remote corners of the world that continue to oppress this Ummah. May we soon achieve victory within a framework of unity, not division. Amen, O Lord of the Worlds
