وَإِنْ تَتَوَلَّوْا يَسْتَبْدِلْ قَوْمًا غَيْرَكُمْ ثُمَّ لَا يَكُونُوا أَمْثَالَكُمْ
And if you turn away, He will replace you with another people.; and they will not be like you.
That's what Allah says in the Koran at the end of Surah Muhammad verse (38) Thirty-eight. This verse excerpt is a form of ta'kid, which etymologically means reinforcement. According to Arabic language rules, information conveyed requires ta'kid so that the recipient will not doubt or even deny the verse revealed by Allah to His Messenger, Muhammad (peace be upon him).
The final excerpt from the verse above illustrates the stark reality of how many groups have turned away from Islamic law and sharia, ultimately being replaced by others, perhaps even worse in character than those who came before. Hopefully, the following discussion will broaden our horizons and allow us to see the reality of the sovereignty and fate of our beloved republic.
As time passes, following the proclamation of independence seventy-four years ago, the slogan of defending the sovereignty of the motherland continues to be echoed. A spirit of optimism is constantly being fostered. Everyone claims to be seizing the best possible start to be at the forefront in defending sovereignty and upholding justice in this country.
Such is the spirit of a warrior: willing to sacrifice for the sake of upholding sovereignty. Sovereignty that was won with blood and lives, with resolution and strategy, with jihad and spirit. Ultimately, it bore fruit, worthy of victory: the reclaiming of the country's sovereignty from colonial hands.
Following the successful struggle for national sovereignty, marked by the tumultuous and fiery proclamation of independence, new challenges began to emerge. Ideological movements seeking to undermine the archipelago's sovereignty grew with a different spirit, one no less powerful than the proclamation. This ideology began to show its fangs, openly unleashing terror across the country.
In fact, due to the expertise of its leaders, the country even recognized this ideology to participate in the political arena. Their actions were not without clear reasons and foundations; their goals and visions were even clearer than the Garuda symbol, the national symbol. They attempted to undermine the sovereignty of the motherland three times, from 1926, 1948, to 1968.
If readers want to know the cruelty of this ideology, please read the book written by Anab Afifi and Thowaf Zuharon about the rotten attempts at rational thinking and acting by this group or ideology. How ruthlessly and sadistically the claimants to sovereignty flaunt their iniquity, without the slightest fear of violating, even though it is contrary to the guidelines of the holy book. If we're honest, no one would definitely be strong enough to read the book, the historical facts they have shown are no different from a thriller they directed themselves. It's really inhumane.
Allah's blessings
They are like cattle, nay, they are even more astray. (Al-'Araf 179)
Maybe that is the title that deserves to be given to the bearers of this ideology (Cattle animals, heretics and even more heretics) who have massacred tens of millions of people all over the world.; Russia, China, Cambodia, Eastern Europe, Latin America, Africa, Afghanistan and even our motherland. Even though they have hearts, they are as hard as rocks, arrogant and arrogant in understanding the verses of Allah. Even though they have eyes, their eyes are not used to see the signs of God's greatness and power. They have ears but they are not used to hear the verses of Allah. What a loss and woe to them.
Such is human nature, if the heart is hardened, no truth can penetrate. All the actions they commit are a reflection of the contents of their dirty heads and hearts. Their brutal actions against opponents of the ideology they adhere to are clear evidence of their animalistic nature, even lower than the animals themselves.
It is enough for this country to cry to witness the barbarity and cruelty of the adherents of this heretical ideology. The pain of a life being forced from its body is enough. How despicable are the people who stand in line and their doctrine. So know that every deed they do will be repaid in kind.
Such is the dark history of this country. A history of blood and tears. Dark. Bitter, if analyzed too deeply. Truly, the burden borne by our motherland is heavy. The burden of colonialism, war, and betrayal should not be borne alone. A burden that must be grasped by a patriotic soul, not one opposed to tyranny. A soul that will not allow the sovereignty of our motherland to be trampled upon again by colonial spirits and their cruel ideologies.
The question now is how to restore the nation's sovereignty. Nurturing and then instilling patriotism in souls apathetic to the values of sovereignty that have been increasingly eroded. Values of sovereignty that are continually being eroded by the currents of time are slowly trapping humanity on the brink of destruction.
Let's leave aside our historical wanderings for a moment and discuss some key points about the current state of this country. Too many primordial problems have plagued the archipelago recently. The chaos of the country's "new guardians and defenders" has emerged, with tendencies and pretexts to fight for, defend, and uphold the nation's sovereignty.
Who knows, despite the proliferation of alliances, mass organizations, associations, and the like, instead of strengthening the foundations of the motherland, they seem to be fracturing the unity and integrity of sovereignty.
For over a decade, the issue of sovereignty in this wealthy nation has been a hot topic of discussion. On the one hand, claims to maintain the integrity of ancestral lands have been loudly voiced by some groups. They argue that the Unitary State is non-negotiable, and Pancasila is final. If anyone tries to disrupt this consensus, this group will not be allowed to roam. For them, any seeds that deviate from the values of Pancasila and the unitary state must not grow.
However, other groups accused of being anti-Pancasila also understand, and even better, the definition of a unitary state where Pancasila is final. However, this is the reality of the people of this country: they often go too far and follow their own organizations and groups excessively. Perhaps this group is the one alluded to in Surah Rum, verse 32 of the Quran.
كُلُّ حِزْبٍ بِمَا لَدَيْهِمْ فَرِحُونَ
Each group feels proud of what is in their group.
As a result, the unilateral claims of the unitary state or Pancasila defenders and those accused of being "anti" Pancasila have gradually led to serious friction. Mutual provocation and persecution are inevitable. Subtle clashes, both online and in real life, are irreconcilable. Accusations of being Saracen, hoaxes, racist, anti-Indonesian, anti-Pancasila, Wahhabi, radical, caliphate, treason, and so on, have surfaced, becoming a hot topic that continues to be cooked up and ready to be served.
Essentially, these issues are leveraged to marginalize the country's sovereignty and Islam. Surprisingly, the country's highest officials choose to take these trivial issues seriously, instead ignoring the "substantial" issues that underlie them. It gives the impression that the country is in a precarious and dangerous situation. The inability of the country's elites to handle these cases has created an increasingly chaotic situation, with one problem after another hitting and eroding the nation.
What the indigenous people fear is only if past events resurface under a new, ever-present guise. This will pit citizens against each other. As indigenous people, we don't want to sue, but we have the right to remind the ruling elite of this country to seriously address the problems and divisive issues amidst the political turmoil. Indigenous people cannot allow chaos to reign supreme and stab the heart of the nation.
Then shackled, entangled and hacked Garuda's wings with their hammers and sickles, until finally dragging the sovereignty of this country to the bottom of humiliation and the dignity of the kingdom was torn apart. Even though all of that is undesirable. However, indigenous people want the five 'sila' on Garuda's chest to be upheld.
Don't be overly phobic and paranoid about the first principle: "Belief in One Almighty God." This principle, whose value and essence have long been marginalized in the Indonesian people's souls, is precisely what gave birth to the Indonesian people's fighting spirit. It's a defense of religion, faith, and a clear ideology, far from idolatrous values.
The expulsion of colonialists, the ongoing wars, the defense of national rights, the struggles, and the call for jihad were born out of the defense of the First Principle. Anyone who attempts to challenge this nation's First Principle will be branded as a new "colonialist" and will be ready to be fought. It is because of this First Principle that this nation and state stand strong.
To the country's elite, uphold the fairest laws possible. Defend and fight for the rights of small residents whose rice fields have been confiscated. Treat your citizens equally before the law. Don't be selective. don't look away. Help the village children who are starving. The poor live and are forgotten. The spirit of humanity must be in direct proportion to the spirit of justice.
If you, the nation's elite, are capable of doing that, your level of civility is certainly higher. Therefore, defend and fight for the rights of your citizens; therein lies the essence of the second principle: "Just and civilized humanity." What the common people, the marginalized, and the street beggars need is justice. Justice means placing their rights in their proper place.
Don't ask us about the meaning of the third principle, for that is truly our hope and aspiration as inhabitants of this earth. We will not willingly let our motherland struggle alone. We will not allow Garuda to fly with broken wings. We want the number 34 firmly attached to your body, then you invite it to soar high in the air. That is our commitment to you, O Garuda and our beloved country. However, we cannot fathom that our motherland today is overgrown with 'foreign' trees with sharp, poisonous thorns.
Garuda's feathers are infested with 'rotten' lice to the point of almost shedding his beautiful hair one strand at a time. Who knows who planted and watered that 'foreign' tree? And who sowed lice in your hair, O Garuda? Who knows. This is where the fourth and fifth precepts disappeared from Garuda's chest, and no one knows who stole them. Could the thieves be those who are busy re-attaching his new tie with their big projects and tenders? Who knows.
After analyzing the historical and contemporary facts regarding the rationale for national sovereignty, we come to a final conclusion. Whoever leads this country must not turn away from upholding state and religious sovereignty. If this is ignored, the indigenous people and the community will be oppressed by a cruel, oppressive, and tyrannical regime. May justice and sovereignty be upheld, so that we do not become a lesson like the people alluded to in the first verse above, led by a people who are newer than the previous ones.
And Allah knows best
