The Muslim Community Performs the Eid al-Adha Prayer in Congregation, May Allah have mercy on them.
The Eid al-Adha holiday or the holiday of sacrifice, cannot be separated from the exemplary story described in the Al-Quran, through a noble person, namely Prophet Ibrahim AS, who was able to carry out Allah SWT's command to sacrifice his son, Prophet Ismail, by slaughtering him. However, in the end, unexpectedly, Allah replaced Prophet Ismail with a healthy and fat sheep. It was truly extraordinary, the tests experienced by Prophet Ibrahim AS and Prophet Ismail AS.
We can imagine that even a prophet faces trials from Allah SWT, let alone us as mere mortals. This demonstrates that our Islam, faith, and piety will continually be tested by Allah SWT to determine our level of quality.

This Eid al-Adha is a lesson in sacrifice, sacrifice exemplified by Prophet Ibrahim AS and Prophet Ismail AS in sacrificing something that is most loved because of Allah Azza wa Jalla.
However, for some of us, sacrifice may seem unreasonable, illogical. How can we give and sacrifice the wealth we've earned through hard work, hard work, and toil, and then sacrifice it for others? This is perhaps the logic many people have today, and it's something that needs to be addressed.
Many people feel that their wealth and possessions are solely the result of their own efforts. As a result, they are reluctant to make sacrifices. They forget that these possessions belong to God. And as believers, they realize there are at least three things they must remember:
First: "The Giver of Rizki is Allah SWT." Allah says:

"And I did not create jinn and humans except so that they would serve Me. I do not want any sustenance from them and I do not want them to feed Me. Indeed, Allah is the Giver of sustenance who has strength and is very strong." (Al-Dzariyat 56-58)
If the only provider of sustenance is Allah, and the only provider of ease is Allah, then the most logical way to obtain sustenance and ease is to ask Him, to hope in Him. Therefore, Allah promises that if you want additional sustenance and ease beyond imagination, the path is piety, namely, the path of following His commands and avoiding His prohibitions. Allah SWT says:

The second: Muslims and Mu'min must believe that "the level of sustenance for each person has been determined by Allah SWT," Allah SWT said.

"And Allah has favored some of you over others in terms of sustenance." (An-Nahl 71)
If the amount of sustenance is determined differently, then what's the point of feeling jealous, envious, or resentful toward others? Isn't Allah SWT already giving everyone the best portion according to their own needs and the needs of their families? Isn't Allah All-Knowing of all our needs?
If our sustenance is guaranteed and its measure is determined by Allah, why justify any means to obtain it? Why are we so busy plunging ourselves into jobs that displease Allah? It truly doesn't make sense for a Muslim to fear hunger, lack, or poverty because of abandoning a forbidden job, when Allah has guaranteed it, and our sustenance has already been determined.
The Muslim Community Performs the Eid al-Adha Prayer in Congregation, May Allah have mercy on them.
Third: Even though the amount of sustenance has been determined, Muslims and Mu'min understand very well that "Rizki must be sought and must be worked for."
Allah SWT said:

ŲŖŁŁŲŁŁ.
"When the prayer has been performed, then scatter on the face of the earth; and seek the grace of Allah and remember Allah a lot so that you may be successful." (Al-Jum'ah 10)
If God alone provides sustenance, and the amount of sustenance is predetermined, and we are obligated to seek it, then all we have left to do is strive, work hard, think hard, and achieve great things. In short, a Muslim should focus on how to sacrifice as much as possible for God. There's no need to worry about what I'll get, or how much I'll get. Because that's what God determines for us.

Therefore, the characteristic of a Muslim is total commitment in carrying out the mandate he is entrusted with, whether as a parent, teacher, student, lecturer, trader, farmer, employee, or even state official.
A Muslim will always give his all, strive, and sacrifice. He will never seek his own gain, sacrifice others, or even oppress others for his own selfish gain. This is unnecessary for a Muslim, because he believes that only Allah will provide for him physically and mentally, in this world, and in the hereafter.
However, tests of Islamic logic will always exist, tests of the sacrifices we make, tests of our faith and piety, and even tests of sincerity will continue to exist. Allah in Yusuf's letter immortalized Ya'kub's advice to his children
ŁŁŁŲ§ŁŲŖŲ§ŁŁŁŲ¦ŁŲ³ŁŁŁŲ§ Ł ŁŁŁ Ų±ŁŁŁŁŲŁ Ų§ŁŁŁŁŲ Ų„ŁŁŁŁŁŁ ŁŲ§ŁŁŁŲ§ŁŁŲ¦ŁŲ³Ł Ł ŁŁŁ Ų±ŁŁŁŁŲŁ Ų§ŁŁŁŁ Ų„ŁŁŲ§ŁŁ Ų§ŁŁŁŁŁŁ Ł Ų§ŁŁŁŲ§ŁŁŲ±ŁŁŁŁŁ.
"Do not despair of Allah's mercy. Indeed, no one despairs of Allah's mercy, except those who disbelieve." (Joseph 87)
In another verse Allah SWT says:
The message
"And for those who strive to (seek Our approval), We will show them Our paths. And indeed Allah is with those who do good." (Al-Ankabut: 69)
So, are we willing and ready to make sacrifices for the people, for the nation, for the boarding school, and for this university lillahita'ala. Sacrifice thoughts, energy, wealth and feelings. Our readiness to make sacrifices is determined by our idealism, aspirations and life orientation. If we intend to fight and fight for Allah's religion in our lives, then it will not be difficult to make sacrifices.
This is a matter of our faith, belief, and devotion to Allah SWT, whether great or small. The belief that if we are willing to think of others and help others, Allah SWT will surely think of us and help us. Moreover, if we are willing to fight for Allah's religion, Allah will surely guarantee our lives and fight for our affairs.

On the other hand, it will be difficult to do the above if we are pragmatic, individualistic, or even opportunistic. This type of person only thinks about material gain and self-advantage. Their attitude is always calculating profit and loss, about riches and poor, about what is gained, not what is given. This is the enemy of struggle, the enemy of sacrifice. Because truly, no one is rich because they are stingy, and no one is poor because they are generous. Stinginess in this sense is not limited to stinginess with material things, but also stinginess with thoughts, energy, and feelings.

"Whoever has the means but does not make a sacrifice, let him not come near our place of prayer." (Narrated by Ahmad and Ibn Majah)
This is what we commemorate this morning, especially for those who can afford to sacrifice. The commanded sacrifice doesn't have to be our child; livestock, such as a goat, cow, buffalo, or other animal, is sufficient. God knows we wouldn't be able to do it, let alone sacrifice our child, or sacrifice a portion of our wealth to slaughter an animal; we still think too much.
Cutting 2.5 % of our assets for zakat, it is still difficult to fulfill it. Cutting a little of our time to pray five times a day, we are still lazy. Postponing our meal times to fast, we are unable to carry it out, and so on.
May we all be among those who are steadfast in fighting, sacrificing and doing good in the way of Allah SWT.

Congregation of Eid al-Adha prayers, may Allah have mercy on them,
For a Muslim, the only thing that matters is to give their utmost and give their all in carrying out whatever mandate they are entrusted with, of course, a mandate that is approved by Allah SWT. Therefore, a Muslim always chooses trustworthy, lawful work, and does his utmost, sacrificing all his abilities. Then, he relies solely on Allah for the reward of his work.
A person with total surrender to Allah, and maximum sacrifice in carrying out his duties, this is the basic nature of a Muslim.
