First Sermon

God willing, God willing, God willing, God willing, God willing

God willing, God willing, God willing, God willing.

I'm sorry I'm sorry

The Muslim congregation of Friday prayers, may Allah have mercy on them.

On this blessed Friday, first of all, the preacher wants to invite us to always be grateful for all the blessings and love that Allah has given us all, without His blessings and love, we are just land and servants, who have no meaning before Him.

Not forgetting, the preacher also invited all the congregation to always try to increase their sense of faith and piety to Allah SWT. Faith and piety are the foundation of our lives, so let us all strengthen the foundation of our lives by carrying out all His commands and avoiding all His prohibitions.

We also thank Allah SWT. as Muslims who are still alive today, we can gather together in order to do what Allah SWT commands in the Qur'an surah Al-Jum'ah verse 9 which reads:

God willing

"O you who believe, when you have been called upon to perform prayers on Friday, then immediately remember Allah, and leave buying and selling, it would be better if you knew." (QS. al-Jumu'at, verse 9)

Today, we are all at the end of our distinguished guest's journey, who will soon be saying goodbye. It's the last Friday of the holy month of Ramadan 1446 H. Time flies so fast, it feels like Ramadan greeted us only yesterday, yet time has passed so quickly.

Before we know it, Ramadan is just a few days away, and it will be leaving us. May the acts of worship we have striven for this month be our best, weighing heavily on the scales of our good deeds in the hereafter.

The month of Ramadan is a great gift from Allah SWT. The month full of love, the month of forgiveness, the month of blessings. In it, Allah opens the doors of heaven as wide as possible.

He also tightly closed the gates of Hell and bound the devils, making it easier for us to do good deeds. Ramadan is the month of the Quran, the month of charity, and the month of striving for obedience. It is a month of reward and prayers answered by Allah SWT.

Therefore, with all the blessings, glory, and majesty of Ramadan, it's natural for our hearts to feel heavy as we bid him farewell. In fact, our souls may feel tight, our chests constrict, and we cry, for our time with him is numbered. Who knows, this could be the last Ramadan we experience in our lives on this earth.

Tears alone aren't enough to mourn his passing. Instead, our grief should fuel our enthusiasm for worship in the remaining days and nights. If we were slacking off at the beginning of Ramadan, now is the time to rekindle our enthusiasm and increase our devotion to Allah SWT.

Because, as the Prophet said sallallaahu 'alaihi wa sallam:

"Indeed, every practice depends on the end." (Narrated by Bukhari)

The month of Ramadan is a very precious time for Muslims. During this holy month, various acts of worship, such as fasting, Tarawih prayers, and reading the Quran, are performed in the hope of gaining Allah's blessings.

Through this worship, Muslims not only fulfill their religious obligations but also strive to attain a higher level of spirituality. Achievements during Ramadan often reflect an individual's dedication to self-improvement and increasing piety and faith.

One of the significant achievements of fasting is the ability to control oneself and restrain one's desires. Through the experience of fasting, we learn many valuable lessons, especially about patience in obeying Allah SWT.

Imam Ibn Rajab in the book lathaiful ma'arif, say:

God willing Allah's blessings. God willing

It means: "The sign of accepted obedience is consistent continued worship afterward. And the sign of rejected obedience is committing sin afterward. How noble is the act of worship performed after another act of worship, and how despicable is the act of evil committed afterward.

To see how our piety and faith have increased, we must be consistent in our worship after Ramadan has passed. After Ramadan ends, it is crucial to continue practicing the lessons learned during the holy month.

The challenges we face after Ramadan should help us become more resilient, kinder, more devout, and more free from sin. This is because achievements in worship foster a desire to continue applying the values of Ramadan in our daily lives. Thus, Ramadan is not only a period of worship, but also a time for reflection and preparation for a better life after Ramadan.

In another narration, Rasulullah SAW said,

It means "It is indeed a great loss for someone who enters the month of Ramadan and then does not have his sins forgiven." (Narrated by Ahmad. Sahih Hadith)

This hadith is an important message for those of us who are currently at the end of the month of Ramdhan. A noble month, a month of forgiveness and mercy. However, if we neglect charity, from obedience to Allah SWT. Then Allah does not forgive us, from all the sins we commit, so be careful. Because the opportunity for Ramadhan will not necessarily come to us next year.

Ibn Rajab reiterated that he quoted the words of the pious Salafists,

"Whoever has his sins not forgiven in the month of Ramadan, his sins will not be forgiven in the other months." (In Latha-if Al-Ma'arif, p. 297)

After completing the holy month of Ramadan, it is important for Muslims to maintain the spirit of worship that has been built during the month.

This month is often a particularly meaningful time, one where the quality of worship increases and one's closeness to Allah SWT is felt more deeply. To ensure this positive worship continues, let's prepare ourselves for the coming months by taking steps to do good deeds.

One way to maintain this spirit is by strengthening the quality of daily worship. We can do this by remaining to maintain time for congregational prayer, reading the Qur'an, and performing dhikr and prayer.

Setting aside time each day to perform these acts of worship can help instill piety and closeness to God. Our worship shouldn't just be a temporary ritual. It should be a commitment, continuing in our daily lives.

May Allah SWT accept all our good deeds this Ramadan. May we be among those whose sins and mistakes are forgiven. Let us maximize our worship in the final days of Ramadan. May we be among those who receive the glory of reward and piety in the sight of Allah SWT. Amen, O Lord of the Worlds.

In this moment of reflection, how do you plan to carry the spirit and lessons of Ramadan into your daily life afterward? Are there any specific actions you plan to take to maintain your piety?
