Know Some of the Benefits of Friday

In Islam, all days are good. There are no unlucky days, or unlucky days. From Sunday to Saturday, everything has priority and goodness. However, of the seven days in Islam, there is a leader day, and the leader day is Friday.

Friday, is Saiyyidul Ayyam (a very glorious day) or the most excellent (main day). For a Muslim, Friday is not an ordinary day, but contains goodness and priority in it. The virtues of Friday make it noble and more important than other days.

First Priority

One of the virtues of Friday is the obligation of a Muslim to perform Friday prayers in congregation at the mosque. Friday prayers in congregation at the mosque are a form sharia which was ordained by Allah and taught by the Prophet Muhammad. And Friday is the day of difference between Jews, Christians and Muslims

may Allah bless him and give him peace and blessings God bless you God bless you God bless you God willing God willing

“"Allah misled those before us about Friday. For the Jews it fell on Saturday, and for the Christians it fell on Sunday. Then Allah appointed us, namely Friday. Because of that, there were three consecutive gathering days (big days), namely Friday, Saturday and Sunday. On the Day of Resurrection, they will follow us too, we are the last to enter the world, but we are the ones who are judged first before the other people."” (HR. Muslim, no. 856).

The hadith above implies the significance of Friday's glory in Islam. While the Jews have a holy day on Saturday and the Christians have a holy day on Sunday, both consider Friday a holy day.

Second Priority

A Muslim who steps into the mosque to perform Friday prayers, the angels record it as a reward for each step, equivalent to the reward of worship. one year of prayer and fasting.

Rasulullah Saw reminded in a hadith:

"Whoever takes a bath on Friday, then rushes to the mosque and sits in the front row and remains silent, then for every step he takes, he will receive the reward of fasting and praying for a year, and that is easy for Allah.". (HR. Ahmad).

Then Rasulullah SAW said:

God willing

"Please pray more to me every Friday. Because the blessings of my people will be shown to me every Friday. Whoever prays to me a lot, he will be the closest to me on the Day of Judgment." (Narrated by Baihaqi)

Then, from Abu Hurairah, Rasulullah Saw said:

مَنْ صَلَّى عَلَىَّ وَاحِدَةً صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ عَشْرًا

"Whoever prays to me once, Allah will pray to him ten times." (HR. Muslim No. 408)

The Third Virtue

The other priorities found on Friday are: The sins of a Muslim are forgiven as long as he does not commit major sins.

God willing, God willing, God willing, God willing

“The five daily prayers, from Friday to Friday, will expiate (the sins) between them as long as one does not commit a major sin.” (Muslim, no. 233)

As Muslims, we are aware that the temptation of sin and disobedience always haunts us and leads us to neglect remembering Allah. Satan and the devil never cease to tempt us and lead us astray. Therefore, on Fridays, we increase our prayers to Allah SWT. Asking Him to forgive our sins and protect us from sin and disobedience.

The Fourth Virtue

An equally important virtue of Friday is the acceptance of a believer's prayers when they are asked on that day. Friday is the best day to pray to Allah SWT.

“"On Friday there is a time that if a Muslim prays in it and asks Allah Ta'ala for something, his request will surely be granted." Then he made a gesture with his hand indicating at least that time."’ (HR. Bukhari, no. I/224)

Undeniably, Friday is always a day eagerly awaited and longed for by believers. On this day, the best hopes and prayers are offered to Allah. These prayers, of course, contain goodness for oneself, one's parents, one's family, and the Muslim community.

Thus, a summary of the virtues and glory of Friday. There are many virtues and goodness on Friday that have not yet been described. God willing, will be continued in the next description. May Allah SWT, give us guidance to be able to take advantage of the glorious day, namely Friday. Amen, O Lord of the Worlds

And Allah knows best
