Arabic Science and Literature Cannot Be Separated from the Qur'an

"Rarely in any other culture has writing played such a crucial role as in Islamic civilization. The perseverance of Muslim scholars is truly admirable, often even unimaginable."

(Johannes Pedersen, The Arabic Book, Princeton University Press. 1984, p. 57)

Arabs use the term book to show a book in and also the forms of writing. Long or short, both regarding the form of letters or writing, documents or others.

In this regard, Johannes Pedersen tried to translate a document (Arabic book) with the title The Arabic Book published by Princeton University Press in 1984. Pedersen was amazed by the history of the book that emerged, especially regarding Arabic literature which made the Qur'an the first reference for the term book.

"If they (the Arabs) talk about the book al-kitab in the true sense, then what they mean is the Qur'an." that's his confession. "There is no other religion whose scriptures play such a role as the holy scriptures of Islam.“"“

Every word found between the two covers of the book is truly the word of God. Therefore, these words are eternal and not created (by humans), and that is a miracle. (miracle) linguistic perfection.

Everything both in the heavens and on earth, everything that happens, is recorded in the book (al-Qur'an) human deeds are also written in the book, as is their fate. All that is revealed and not within is an expression of God's knowledge and will.

So it is not wrong if the book is nicknamed "book of heaven" And the heavenly book was not created by humans, let alone the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him). Rather, it was the Prophet Muhammad who translated the heavenly book, explaining to humans the heights of knowledge, linguistic literature, and signs of God's greatness within it.

Therefore, the Arabs possessed an extraordinary book. A book not composed by humans, nor written by a prophet, but rather its words came directly from God Himself.

What is no less interesting is that Arabic literature began with pages that could not have been created by humans. This characteristic is crucial for the holy book of Muslims, the Qur'an. Because of the Qur'an, Arabic is a perfect language and holds a higher status than other languages. The height and perfection of Arabic stem from the Qur'an, the perfect book. kalam Lord.

In response to this, the large number of users and readers of this heavenly book (the Qur'an) reflects the perfection and beauty of the language used. Written copies, interpretation The work itself is a source of pride for its owner, while also providing blessings and goodness. Even more amazingly, the Qur'an can not only be copied into pages, but also memorized.

Thus, throughout Islamic history, teaching book This continues to be passed down orally. In fact, the concepts of the words written in it are detailed, analyzed, interpreted, and combined with each other. Everything inherentThis is evidence of the unparalleled tradition of Islamic scholarship.

The Arabic language subsequently developed and became an object of scientific research, encompassing grammar, rhetoric, interpretation, philology, and so on. All scientific developments and advancements stem from a divine book (the Quran), which has made a significant contribution to the world, not only to the Islamic world but to all humanity.

This is what makes Arabic high, and cannot be separated from the language of the Koran which is the holy book of Muslims.

And Allah knows best
