Ma'asyiral Muslimin Rahimakumullah...
We must be endlessly grateful to Allah SWT, because thanks to His abundant grace and blessings, we have remained steadfast in upholding our faith, a supreme blessing. We must also continually refine our Shahada (the creed) to bring it closer to its true meaning.
We convey our prayers and praise to His Majesty the Apostle, the spearhead of the bearer of the light of life.
Next⦠happy Friday congregation.
From this pulpit too preacher call on the preacher himself, in general to all the congregation to always maintain, defend and continue to strive to improve the values of faith and piety, because only with faith and piety will we be safe on the day of His judgment.
The Muslim congregation performs Friday prayers. May Allah have mercy on them.
In 1932, during the day, the city of Amsterdam (Netherlands) was still gripped by winter. The gripping cold atmosphere in this famous city turned out to be a silent witness to... ā'A tragedy of cruelty'ā human reason and reason are never satisfied by science.
A small letter. Short. Concise. The concise letter lay there.āwithout life'ā in the corner of Amsterdam City.
ā"What I lack is faith in God. Yet it is necessary. Someone perishes because of this, because of their lack of religion." "May God help you, the one I'm hurting right now," the letter read.
Right next to the letter, there lay corpses, frozen and lifeless.
Amsterdam was shaken. Amsterdam was stunned. In an uproar. Like a lightning bolt. The bodies lying stiff were familiar to them. The frozen corpses were none other than members of the family of a renowned intellectual from Amsterdam, nicknamed the City of a Thousand Windmills. He was the Professor. Paul Ehrenfest, with his beloved wife and children.
Every resident of Amsterdam, who doesn't know Professor Ehrenfest? He is a devotee reason, ratio and science. He is the ā'True Atheist'ā from Amsterdam, revered by his followers. He was Amsterdam's "vanguard intellectual" at the peak of his intellectual career. Respected positions, high positions, and abundant wealth were firmly within his grasp and control.
So, how could a professor at the peak of his power suddenly commit suicide? Not only that, Ehrenfest also slaughtered his wife and children. Did the professor really commit suicide? Or was this a syndicate? These were the questions the Amsterdam public was left wondering.
The Muslim congregation performs Friday prayers. May Allah have mercy on them.
Several days later, it was finally revealed that Professor Ehrenfest had indeed committed suicide. He was not murdered. No syndicate was detected. Before committing suicide, the professor had first murdered his wife and children. This was the official statement from the Amsterdam City Police.
Professor Ehrenfest committed suicide, just because ā'not satisfied'ā with reason, intellect, and knowledge that he had "deified" for years. From reason, reason, and knowledge, he felt he gained nothing but a chaotic, uncertain, and anxiety-ridden outlook on life. Prof. Ehrenfest felt compelled to end his life, as life no longer held any meaning for him.
Upon further investigation, it was discovered that the tragic letter left beside the bodies was actually addressed specifically by Ehrenfest to one of his close friends, Professor Kohnstamm. Kohnstamm himself, however, had no idea that the friend he had admired for his intelligence and genius would end his life so tragically, killing himself and his family.
Ma'asyiral Muslimin Rahimakumullah.
For someone who doesn't believe in God, they might suffer a similar fate to Professor Ehrenfest: suicide because life no longer has meaning.
Therefore, reason, intellect, mind and science must seek their complement, namely ā'religion'ā. And the only one The religion that is most rational for reason and science is none other than "Islam"ā. Islam is a religion that never pits reason, rationality, and science against each other. All are interrelated and complementary.
Thus, may this story serve as a lesson for everyone. Especially for "atheists," remember to use your reason, rationality, and knowledge to understand God, not to deny or reject God.
The Muslim congregation performs Friday prayers. May Allah have mercy on them.
If we look into it, a person's intelligence, wit and genius will not be able to lead him to true goodness.

Rasulullah SAW said: An intelligent person is a person who controls his desires, and does good deeds for the life after death. And a weak person is a person who follows his desires and puts his trust in Allah. (HR. Turmudzi)
In fact, a person's intelligence is never measured by the ratio of their head to head, or the genius of their brain. According to the Prophet Muhammad, intelligence is the person who prepares for good deeds after death.
Currently, in Europe, America, and Asia itself, we see how many atheists, that is, people who do not believe in God, are flocking to say Shahada.
Westerners, who had lived hedonistic, materialistic lives awash in wealth, gradually came to their senses. They willingly abandoned their possessions and positions of power when they received Islamic guidance, then flocked to Islam.

It means: "āWhen God's help and victory have come. And you see people converting to Allah's religion in droves. So glorify yourself by praising your Lord and asking Him for forgiveness. Indeed, He is the Acceptor of repentance.".
Western countries which are the benchmark for modern countries today, whether in terms of economics, technology, politics, social or culture, are basically barren and poor countries, with religious and divine values.
These countries are not even able to provide solutions to the level of poverty. Suicide for its own people.
A recent case of widespread violence, particularly in America, is the shooting of students in schools. Dozens of students have been killed, and the perpetrators are students at the schools themselves. God forbid
Japan, a country known as a developed country in the world, but in reality, every day the Japanese population, workers and Japanese society experience depression and severe stress, due to working non-stop.
Then, the latest survey, about the countries that are members Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development. Put South Korea in July 2021 as the city with the highest suicide rate in the world.
Ma'asyiral Muslimin Rahimakumullah.
These facts are proof that modern Western countries, which live in the splendor of wealth and uphold freedom, are countries that are poor and barren in spirit and faith.
Reflecting on the facts that occur in the Western hemisphere, as Muslims, we must be grateful that Islam has guided and given us the strength to live with faith and piety.
On the contrary, don't let our gratitude for this gift disappear for even a second. Islam, Faith and Piety we forget.
Those of us who have embraced Islam should not be discouraged or feel hopeless. Perhaps some of us live in poverty, barely making ends meet, and with limited wealth. Let us not think that we are the miserable ones. We are the ones who suffer. It would be a grave mistake to think that way, because truly, wealth and happiness can only be achieved through faith and devotion to Allah.
A Turkish cleric, Bediuzzaman Said Nursi once said.
ā"The Islamic countries are pregnant with Europe, and one day they will give birth to it. And the European countries are pregnant with Islam, and one day they will give birth to it."ā
May Allah always guide us to the path of truth.
