West Sumbawa. On Sunday morning, August 24, 2025, the Regional Conference (MUSDA) of the People's Movement (ORMAS) held to establish the Regional Leadership Council (DPD) of West Sumbawa Regency. The event took place solemnly at the Ifa Syariah Hotel in Taliwang District, West Sumbawa Regency.
The MUSDA activity was attended by a number of community and religious figures who took part as members of the Advisory Board of the People's Movement Organization. Among the figures present were Mr. H. Idrus Husain, H. Sadiq Magrabi, H. Masnurung, H. Abdul Hadi Syihab, Wahyu Sunan Kalimati, Iwan Harwansyah, Bp.Sc., M.Si, M. Saleh, as well as several other community figures and invited guests.
Also present was the Chairman of the DPW of the People's Movement of West Nusa Tenggara Province, Lalu Mustakim Patawari, S.Tp., M.Si, who also opened and gave a speech at the Musda event. The People's Movement is an organization that upholds the principles of deliberation, democracy, mutual cooperation, and the value of justice.
In his report as Chair of the MUSDA Committee, Lery Susanto, S.Pd., emphasized that although the People's Movement does not display religious symbols in its attributes, he hopes that the KSB DPD board will be filled with individuals who have a deep love for the Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia and a strong Islamic spirit. According to him, the combination of nationalism and belief in the One Almighty God is the catalyst and manifesto of the struggle of the KSB. martyr and freedom fighters of the Republic of Indonesia.
Meanwhile, Iwan Harwansyah, BPSc., M.Si, as a representative of the Advisory Board of the KSB People's Movement DPD, said that he was moved to accompany this struggle because of his strong determination to educate the public and build healthy political education, especially in the West Sumbawa region.
The emergence of the People's Movement Community Organization, Iwan continued, is a response to the people's anxiety when facing various national and regional issues. From the government's failure to navigate its first 100 days, the significant risks borne by DANANTARA, to the DPR's "dancing" and luxury at the expense of the people's suffering. It is hoped that the People's Movement Community Organization will provide a new spirit in solving the nation's problems.
The Chairman of the NTB Province People's Movement DPW, Mustakim Patawari, S.Tp., M.Si, in his remarks, said that the People's Movement is not just an organization, but a moral movement born from the people's concerns and hopes.
From NTB, we light the torch of change. We want to prove that local power can determine the direction of the nation. Let's maintain this spirit, because Indonesia Menyala is not just a sloganāit is a promise of our shared struggle towards a Golden Indonesia 2045.
Mustakim Patawari, S.Tp., added that the People's Movement will remain an independent mass organization unless ARB gains support from existing political parties. In such a scenario, synergy between the People's Movement and its supporting parties will be the driving force for the majority of Indonesians in the 2029 presidential election.
Deliberation Process and Appointment of Management
The West Sumbawa Regency People's Movement Regional Leadership Conference (MUSDA) took place solemnly and with a spirit of togetherness. As a first step, meeting participants unanimously proposed five names to form a formation team. This team was given a strategic mandate: to elect and establish the DPD's core leadership structure, consisting of a Chairperson, Secretary, and Treasurer.
After a democratic and thoughtful deliberation process, the five members of the formator team presented their decisions to the session chair. With the approval of all participants, the decision was then ratified and ratified. Win Wahyuddin, ST as Chairman, Lery Susanto, S.Pd as Secretary, Social Studies Arisandi as Treasurer.
This determination is the initial milestone for the KSB People's Movement DPD to move forward, formulate work programs, and build synergy across elements of society to realize the great ideal: a healthy, intelligent, just, and prosperous Indonesia.
The elected chairman of the KSB People's Movement DPD, Win Wahyuddin, ST, in his speech invited community leaders, religious leaders, youth, and ARB volunteers who share the same vision to join the ranks of the People's Movement struggle.
He emphasized that the organization is open, accommodating to constructive criticism, and committed to realizing a healthy, intelligent, just, and prosperous society based on the principles of a sustainable economy and universal human values.
