North Lombok. Tuesday, July 22, 2025_ The National Library of Indonesia (PERPUSNAS) has distributed 23,000 children's books to 23 Community Reading Centers (TBM) and Village Libraries across North Lombok Regency.
This assistance aims to strengthen the culture of reading and literacy in the community and provide closer access to quality reading materials in remote villages. High-quality reading materials will increase community absorption and positively impact literacy progress in the surrounding community.
This program demonstrates the government's commitment to supporting community literacy development, particularly in areas where access to quality books is limited. Book distribution has been carried out in stages and has now reached 1,001 TP3T (three-year community development programs) and been received by beneficiaries.
Dedi Apyandi, a Community Literacy Volunteer (RELIMA) from the National Library of Indonesia for North Lombok Regency, was directly involved in the distribution process. He stated that overseeing the distribution was crucial to ensuring that aid reached its intended recipients.

"We want to ensure that these books actually reach the communities and village libraries that need them. This isn't just about book distribution, but part of our efforts to build a foundation for literacy in the community. Hopefully, this will be the first step in continuing to work together to build a literate society," said Dedi.
