Wisdom of the Prophet's Isra' Mi'raj

Lots Imagery, examples, examples and lessons that we can learn from the story of the journey of the Prophet Muhammad. meet Allah SWT. From Imagery Rasulullah SAW. met the Prophets, and were shown the condition of the people of hell and the various things they experienced.

The following is a brief overview of the Isra' Mi'raj event written by Buya Dr. Sofyan Hadi, SS, M.Ag., MA., M.Hum., a renowned preacher from Muara Labuh, Padang. He also frequently hosts lectures on the YouTube channel 'Suluah Channel'. Here's his overview.

The Isra' and Mi'raj is one of the most important and glorious historical events in the Prophet Muhammad's journey. It was a very long journey that is difficult to describe and undoubtedly weak in the mind's ability to explain, yet it was a truly real event experienced by the Prophet Muhammad.

Therefore, Allah SWT, when starting the discussion about the Isra' and Mi'raj journey of the Prophet Muhammad SAW, began with the expression ta'ajjub (admiration) that is Subhanallah (سبحان الله) "Glory be to Allah", because this is a miraculous and extraordinary event, very difficult to accept if only measured by rational reason and empirical logic, as in the letter al-Isra' [17]: 1

may Allah bless him and give him peace of mind God willing, God willing, God willing, God willing God bless you الْبَصِيرُ

It means: "Glory be to Allah, who took His servant one night from Al-Masjidilharam to Al-Masjilaksa which We have blessed around him so that We might show him some of Our signs (greatness). Indeed, He is the All-Hearing, All-Seeing.”

According to Buya Sofyan's review, Isra' And Mi'raj itself consists of two words; First, Isra' which in a way literally means traveling at night. And second, ascension which means the child's hand is used to climb. So ascension This means that the journey of the Prophet Muhammad SAW ascended to meet God until he reached the furthest limit that a creature could reach, namely Sidrataul Muntaha. Throughout the journey, the Prophet Muhammad saw many things as proof of the majesty of Allah SWT and His love for His servants. Muhsin.

If explained in depth, the main purpose of the Isra' event and Mi'rajThe Prophet Muhammad's mission was to receive the command to pray five times a day, as we know it today, and to carry it out. However, there were several other purposes, namely, so that the Prophet Muhammad would see signs of Allah's greatness in the universe.

As in the expression linurayahu min ayatina (لنريه من آياتهنا). Through this journey, Allah SWT also wanted to comfort his beloved Prophet Muhammad SAW who was indeed grieving at that time because he had just lost two of his most beloved figures, namely Khadijah, his beloved wife, and Abu Thalib, his uncle who had always protected and defended him since he was 8 years old.

Journey Isra' And ascension According to one story, it happened on the night of 27 Rajab in the tenth year of his apostleship. That year in Islamic history is known as the year of sorrow ('am al-huzni) for the Prophet SAW, because of his sadness over the death of two people he loved Khadijah and Abu Talib as already mentioned.

After the death of Rasulullah's uncle Abu Talib, the Prophet was often accompanied by his uncles Hamzah and Ja'far because of the increasing bad treatment Sabi saw received from the Quraish infidels. Likewise, since his wife Khadijah left, Prophet Muhammad saw often slept at the al-Haram mosque.

Therefore, the Isra' and Mi'raj journey began from the Grand Mosque. This also teaches us that when someone is faced with hardship and sadness, they should draw closer to the House of Allah, for therein lies peace and security.

In one of the narrations it is stated that the chest of the Prophet Muhammad SAW was cleaned at least three times. First, when he was about 4 (four) years old when he was being raised by Halimah, when he was playing with his schoolmates behind the house, Angels Jibril and Makail came and took the Prophet and then cut open his chest.

Second, when he was about to receive revelation in the cave of Hira', the angel of death also dissected and cleaned his chest. Third, When he was about to take part in the events of Irsa' and Mi'raj, his chest was cut open again and his heart was cleaned near Zam-Zam.

All the dirt in the prophet's heart from spiritual illness was removed including the black bag ('alaqat al-sauda') which is the house of Satan in the heart of every human being was also lifted from his heart. It's natural then, if the devil is unable to tempt and confront him.
