Next, the third author, Arif Maulana, in this book is entitled; God in the Concept of Islam and Religions: Comparative Critical Study. Here the author briefly explains the theory of religious pluralism from the previous discussion, then what emerges is the concept of God in religions, faith in Him and their salvation.
Doctrinally, each religion has a different concept of God, and it's impossible to reconcile them, even at a transcendent level. The concept of God is certainly related to the concept of salvation. If a person's faith in God is false, they will not receive salvation.
For the next article, by Toni Zhen Syafrullah entitled; Interfaith Marriage from the Perspective of Religions. It is explained that the concepts of God and faith naturally result in different paths (in Islamic law) to salvation. These paths to salvation are contradictory and even contradictory.
Moreover, the problem is that real In society, marriage rituals differ in their principles and practices across religions. These differences are what ultimately lead to the prohibition of interfaith marriage by each religion. This difference is also unacceptable, especially in Islam.
Yet, this clearly violates government regulations, as well as the teachings of Islam and even other religions. And if this practice is unacceptable to all religious teachings, then the basis used by these pluralists is humanism. So why would a Muslim defend humanism over Islamic law? The answer is because intellectual confusion or intellectual confusion.
After several studies on the confusion of the Pluralism theory above, Author Joko Andi in his paper entitled; Interfaith Joint Prayer: A Theological Problem and Religious Ritual. Here the author tries to explain about the ritual in the teachings of a religion, namely prayer.
An interesting aspect of this discussion is the doctrine of pluralism, which advocates praying together and mutually affirming one another. The problem is how such unity can be achieved. Another problem is that some Muslims pray to Allah, while others pray to the Son of God.
And others pray to statues, others pray to many Gods, and others pray to intermediaries. And this would be very confusingā¦theologically.
Then in the next paper, presented by Wahidin Lukman Sahlan and Ryandi with the title; Inter-religious tolerance from an Islamic perspective. In their detailed presentation, they discussed the opinions of a handful of Muslim scholars or activists who claim that pluralism is sunnatullah, then this should be a big question.
Has Allah sent down many religions to this world? So as to provide the doors of heaven for followers of all these religions?
