There is an expression we often hear, “"Patience has its limits"!” However, did you know that this expression is not a recommendation or guidance from Allah and His Messenger. Patience knows no bounds. Patience does not mean “silence.” Patience means resisting in the right way.
How often have you said, "What should I do? How should I do it?" The right answer for you is to stay where you are. Do not exceed your limits until a way out comes to you from the One who has commanded you to stay where you are. Allah says in the Qur'an.
يَٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ ٱصْبِرُوا۟ وَصَابِرُوا۟ وَرَابِطُواtroop
O you who believe, be patient and strengthen your patience and remain alert (at the borders of your country) and fear Allah so that you may be successful. (QS. Al-Imran: 200).
Allah commands you to be patient, O you who believe. And to compete in patience, to hold fast to it, to guard it, and to persevere in it.
Allah also warns you not to abandon that patience. He also said, "Fear Allah," if you abandon patience." That means, don't abandon that patience! Because, in it there is goodness and safety. Ali bin Abi Talib also emphasized:
God willing الْجَسَدِ
“"The position of patience in faith, like the head in the body."” In (Fathul Majid : 362)
The most important organ of the human body is the head. The head is the source of all actions and if it does not function then the body will feel crippled. That's how patience is described. If patience is not in the human soul, disaster will strike.
There is an expression that says “"Everything will be rewarded accordingly, except patience. The rewards are countless and multiplied."”. This is emphasized by Allah SWT at the end of Surah Az-Zumar verse 10;
God willing
"Indeed, only those who are patient will be rewarded without limits." (QS. Az-Zumar Verse 10)
If you fear Allah, He will protect you so that you can always be patient and guard the boundaries that have been determined by Him. So that Allah will fulfill His promise to you. As He promised in His book.
With that patience, you will be among those who put their trust in Allah, until a way out opens up for you. Indeed, Allah has made you self-sufficient.
Thus, patience is the source of all virtue and salvation, both in this world and the hereafter. Through this patience, a believer climbs to the level of contentment and conformity to Allah's will.
You'd better be careful. Don't abandon your patience. So that Allah does not make you humiliated in this world and in the hereafter. And so that you don't lose the goodness of both.
Therefore, patience is a source of infinite goodness. A source of rewards that will be rewarded without limit. Therefore, do not underestimate patience. For only those who are patient will receive happiness from Allah SWT.
In any situation, try to remain patient. Train your heart and soul with patience. There's a saying we often hear, “"Patience has its limits"!" However, did you know that this expression is not included in the commands of Allah and His Messenger. Patience knows no bounds. Patience does not mean "silence," but rather resistance in the right way.
May Allah always place patience in our hearts! Amen, O Lord of the Worldsîîn
