Taliwang, West Sumbawa Regency. The Regent of West Sumbawa, H. Amar Nurmasnyah, ST. M.Si., opened the 14th MUI Regional Coordination Meeting for West Nusa Tenggara (NTB) Province on the 3rd floor of the West Sumbawa Regency Secretariat Building on Monday morning, November 3, 2025.
The MUI Regional Coordination Meeting for NTB Province was held for 3 days. Starting from November 3-5, 2025 in Taliwang, West Sumbawa Regency. Also present at this Regional Coordination Meeting were the Chairman of the MUI Committee for NTB Province, Prof. Dr. KH. Subhan Abdullah, MA, the Leadership Council of the Indonesian Ulema Council, Prof. Dr.KH. Saiful Muslim, MM. The Chairman of the Indonesian Ulema Council for the Regency, Dr. TGH. Burhanuddin, QH, S.Sos.I, MPdI.
Acting as the committee chair for the 14th MUI Regional Coordination Meeting in West Nusa Tenggara Province, Dr. Muhammad Mufti Imam Suyanto, S.Pd.I.MP, reported on the 50 participants from eight regencies and two municipalities. Two representatives from each MUI commission in West Sumbawa were also present.
ā"Since the MUI was established in West Sumbawa Regency, there has been no secretariat. We hope the Regent of West Sumbawa will give it his utmost attention. The same goes for MUI operational vehicles in West Sumbawa Regency, as this will help ensure the smooth running of MUI programs in West Sumbawa Regency," the committee chair stated.
In his remarks, the Regent of West Sumbawa expressed his appreciation for the MUI Regional Coordination Meeting (Rakorda) held in Taliwang, West Sumbawa. "We welcome the 14th MUI Regional Coordination Meeting (Rakorda) of NTB Province. Scholars And Umara'ā "We must continue to maintain positive synergy to build the welfare of preaching in the community," stressed the Regent of West Sumbawa.

This program integrates various social services for community welfare, in line with the regional vision, namely āWest Sumbawa is Advanced, Prosperous and Blessed.ā "In its implementation, we believe that collaboration between ulama and umara is the main foundation in bringing blessings and progress to the region," he added.
The theme of the 14th MUI Regional Coordination Meeting of NTB Province in 2025 is "āā"Strengthening the Role of the Indonesian Ulema Council as a Servant of the Community" (Khadimul Ummah) And Government Partners (Shadiikul Hukumah) In West Nusa Tenggara Province.ā This theme is very relevant to the situation occurring in NTB Province.
Chairman of the MUI Regional Coordination Meeting Committee for NTB Province, Prof. Dr. KH. Subhan Abdullah, MA, also mentioned that the MUI Regional Coordination Meeting is a joint meeting between elements of the Provincial MUI Leadership Council and the Regency/City MUI Leadership Council to discuss, formulate and coordinate the implementation of work programs and certain activities as well as important and strategic matters that occur in the province or district/city within the West Nusa Tenggara Province.
Meanwhile, the Leadership Council of the Indonesian Ulema Council of West Nusa Tenggara Province, Prof. Dr. H. Saiful Muslim, MM in his remarks touched more on the reality of society with the phenomenon of information technology.

The regional MUI also carries out standardization of preachers, as has been done by the Central MUI Da'wah Commission. The standardization of preachers is important, not only as a means of strengthening the capacity of preachers.Ā preacher AndĀ preacherĀ in the field of da'wah, but also as a momentum to prepare them to face current developments, especially in the era of AI artificial intelligence (Artificial Intelligence)Ā "Which is now starting to become part of people's lives," Prof. Saiful Muslim, MM reminded. He also expressed his gratitude to the Regent of West Sumbawa who facilitated the 14th MUI Regional Coordination Meeting for NTB Province.

The opening ceremony of the 14th MUI Regional Coordination Meeting for West Nusa Tenggara Province concluded with a prayer by Dr. Lalu Mujahid Imaduddin, the Head of the Al-Ikhlas Taliwang Islamic Boarding School. Following the opening ceremony, all MUI Regional Coordination Meeting participants were invited by the Regent of West Sumbawa for a social gathering after performing the Maghrib prayer at the Regent's residence.
The 14th MUI Regional Coordination Meeting of NTB Province was closed on Wednesday, November 5, 2025, by the Chairman of the MUI of West Subawa Regency, Dr. TGH. Burhanudin, QH. S.Sos.IMPd.I. At the same time, he conveyed a message from the Regent of West Sumbawa because he could not attend the closing ceremony.
The reading of the prayer at the closing ceremony of the 14th MUI Regional Coordination Meeting of NTB Province was led directly by Tuan Guru Haji Abdul Karim Abdul Ghofur, Chairman of the MUI for North Lombok Regency and also the Head of the Nurul Bayan Islamic Boarding School, North Lombok Regency.
